(Shameless Plug) Singled Out Wealth is a personal finance blog for single moms. As the founder, I recognized the lack of support for single moms in managing our finances, which led to the creation of this platform. With my background in the military and banking, I realized I’m committed to sharing my experience to encourage single moms like to chase financial independence.
Where can I meet single mothers online?
There are several platforms where you can meet other single moms online. My favorite places to go are Facebook groups and Reddit forums. These are my favorites because not only can you find professional single mom and general mom groups but you can find single mom “niched” groups as well.
r/singlemoms is a subreddit group on Reddit. This is a space where single mothers can share resources, ask questions about parenting, discuss co-parenting dynamics, vent frustrations, and celebrate achievements.
I like checking in on the r/singleparents subreddit. What makes it special is to see the support everyone offers. Seriously, it’s like we’ve got this massive online tribe where we share our stories and lift each other – it’s nice.
Facebook Single Mom Groups
Facebook has become my go-to spot whenever I need to feel a community vibe. I’ve stumbled upon these fantastic groups, and seriously, they’re like my online lifelines. Here are my favs:
The tagline says it all: “A place for ALL mommas to support each other and have fun. 🥰” It’s like a cyber-circle of love and laughter, where we can swap stories, get advice, and just have a good time together.
Now, this is something special. It’s a safe place exclusively for Black Single Moms. The vibe here is all about sharing experiences, understanding each other, and creating a space that feels like home. It’s more than just a group; it’s a community that gets the unique journey we’re on.
This one’s a good one because, let’s be real, there’s no pretending here. The tagline hits you with the truth: “There is no image to keep up here. No expectation of perfection. You really are welcome.” It’s like a breath of fresh air, where we can just be ourselves, imperfections and all. No judgment, just real talk.
